One of the common health issue women face is having bladder infection, also known as cystitis. In fact, about 20 percent to 50 percent of women will get a bladder infection at least once in their life, and one in four will unfortunately have it more than once. If you experience bladder infection symptom such as pain during urinating, or during sex, it is already quite serious and it is time you look into it. One way to cure this illness is taking antibiotic after checking with a doctor. Well, if you are looking for alternative ways to solve this issue, here are some natural bladder infection treatments that you can try.

First of all, drink lots and lots of water. However, do not drink too much coffee, black tea, caffeinated soda, or alcohol as these can worsen the situation. It is advisable to drink one 8 once cup of water per hour to wash and clean your bladder. After drinking water, try to empty your bladder as often as possible, at least every three or four hours during the day.

Next, try to sit in a tub or basin of warm water for 20 minutes. Put half a cup of apple cider vinegar in the water but do not use soap during this therapy. Keep your legs spread open so as to make sure the genital area is soaked and cleansed. Repeat this in 2 hours time, and again after 12 hours.

Also drink two to three cups of unsweetened cranberry juice a day and 500mg of vitamin C three times a day. Cranberry juice and vitamin C increases the acidity of your urine, which inhibits bacterial growth. The cranberry juice also prevents bacteria from sticking by making the bladder wall slippery. You can also take yogurt and other dairy products regularly as a preventive to bladder infection as it that contain probiotic bacteria that have been proven to reduce the risk of bladder infection, according to a study reported in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition.

Pants or underwear made from synthetic fibers do not allow adequate breathing. Hence, in order to relieve pain or discomfort, stick to wearing clothes that are made of cotton or silk.

And here is one great herbal tea mix for great relief from discomfort. Mix marshmallow, barberry, or you can use uva ursi, sage, corn silk, and horsetail together. Then take about one tablespoon of this mixture and mix in one cup of boiling water. Let it simmer for five minutes and drink one to three cup per day. Well if you find it troublesome, visit your neighborhood natural health shop and buy the herbal pills that have the above-listed herbs.

Lastly, you can try mixing one teaspoon of couch grass roots in 1 and a half pints of water and let it simmer for 30 minutes. Drink a bit of this mixture when cool. Couch grass has high concentration of mucilage, which has a soothing effect on mucous membranes.

Well, hope the above bladder home infection remedy can help you to deal with bladder infection. Although it is not a very serious kind of infection, please consult your doctor if you experience fever, nausea, chill or back pain.
